Nico Green is a Brazilian-American poet and writer based in Lisbon, Portugal. He is the founder of Poems for Strangers, a poetry project that became the subject of a documentary by Ukrainian filmmaker Anastasiya Bura. Most weekends, you’ll find Nico in cocktail bars around Lisbon’s historic center, typing poems for passersby on his typewriter.

His work centers on themes of love, sex, and darkness. As a polyamorous activist and co-creator of sex-positive spaces in Lisbon, Nico often explores intimacy and non-monogamy in his writing. He regularly performs at spoken word events across the city, sharing his poetry and excerpts from his forthcoming manuscript. Nico is bisexual, Non-monogamous, and uses He/Him pronouns.
