Cruising South Beach

the bikini-slinging blondes
swinging feet, swinging legs, swinging hips
across the afternoon sand

stir
my old man's reveries:

         Join the Army
         See the World

of sun-beige beauties,
spend swinging nights slinging trunks
& bikinis & bodies & sand

on beaches
too distant to reach
or never there;

stir
my randy hand & memories

to musing in
my involuntary monastery
of lost delights:

         Join the priesthood
         Let God jerk you off
