'the light pierces the willow leaves' and 'our happiness'

the light pierces the willow leaves

and caresses my shattered spirit

into oblivion

the voices of angels are calling me

far and away -

a journey of enchantment and bliss

that i would embark upon

were it not

for my craving of your touch

our happiness

is now

a fading

yellow photograph

our home -

an island floating

aimlessly

in the skies

of yesterday

our love -

a butterfly

flying too close

to the sun

forever haunted

by the unspoken

goodbye
