Lady of the Tunnels

“911, what is your emergency?”

“I think my sister’s gone missing.”

“What’s your sister’s name?”

“Peri. Peri Willoughby. I’m her brother, Leo.”

“And what makes you think your sister’s missing, Mr. Willoughby?”

“I haven’t heard from her in weeks. I’m in her apartment now and it doesn’t look like she’s been here in a while. I think… I think she went into the subway tunnels.”

“Did she leave an offering?”

“Did your sister leave an offering when she went into the subway tunnels?”

“I… I don’t know. Look, why does that matter? She’s missing and I think she’s—”

“There’s nothing I can do for you, Mr. Willoughby.”
