Thin Skin
Not sure how much more is left
Press the hole of the bottle to my glassed eye
hammer it into my palm hoping for signs of moisture,
the light scent of an otherwise non-greasy formula.
some the size of a dime forth comes
take my thumb,
smear it into cracked heels,
between fingers and toes of freshly- clipped toenails.
Rub it in
the skin of stretch-marked shoulders,
bones of elbows,
the thigh a crock pot of stewed beef fell on.
can't see my scar thanks to proven moisturizers
that have come to the rescue of deep, thin skin
