Post-modern breakup poem

When you look at me now.
Your voice and words are kind.
But, the look in your eyes
Is telling me
That the serial killer inside
Is eviscerating
Whatever feelings you have left for me.
That's okay.
If you ever get the courage
To look into my gaze,
You'll see the exact same thing.
