I have no idea if the poems of David Matthews are actually dreams or conceived on caffiene, but they speak to the horrible dreamscape within us all: whether relatively light or dark as terror, these poems remind us of dreams simply by reminding us of our lack of control. They are poems of chaos and consequence, where we are often suffering for bad decisions that we don't remember making.
