Whatever

As the water holds the string
that came over my neck
I stretched a rubber band lengthwise
and stopped in front of a road sign.
The dust on the post swerved
and missed my eyes,
while a grasshopper
fell on top of a rare beetle
and then I tried to fall asleep.
I rubbed my temples clockwise and
looked at the edge of the platform
where I had jumped off a few seconds ago.
Time was leaving me and I chose to return.
So, I walked backwards until I was immersed in water.
