a sort of letter to an ex

There are chairs that smell like honey here
and doors that open into air
The dog licks my toes,
no matter the taste.
The men are charming.
The women are beautiful.
The air tinkles like fine china chimes.
No one cares
if the hedges are trimmed, or
if the neighbors are watching.
Sweat is honey
is covering our bodies,
and I miss you so, so much.
