in Florida,
where the
land is very
flat, and 
very smooth,
there is a 
celebration;
where pink
and blue and
white fireworks
are going off
in every direction
possible.

they are celebrating
the departure-
behind their one
bedroom apartment
on queens court
lane.  it is almost
perfect now that
he is gone.  and
they won't think
about him, or how
he is doing, or
what he is
doing, but
instead will watch
the white and
blue and pink fireworks
on
the grass,
holding each other
very tight, and smelling
of perfume and
lipstick.
