Aimee Jones

Artist's Statement

"My current work wrestles between painting, drawing and installation. Each piece demonstrates the everyday struggle of trying to keep it together. A controlled chaos of sorts, recording the internal battles of the good, the bad and the ugly."

Aimee Jones is a native Texan, born 1976. She received her BFA in painting from the University of Houston in 2003. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions throughout Texas. Nationally she has shown in Miami, Chicago and Kansas City and internationally in Monterrey, Mexico. She is also the co-founder of two artist run spaces in Houston, Raw Space from 2000 to 2004 and currently Chuntaro Jones Studio where she hides out and creates until it's naptime or nacho time.
