Let's Make It New

Mary Ellen Derwis lives in northeast Ohio. She is co-author, with Joe Balaz, of JOMA—online, an online gallery of concrete poetry and photography. Her photography has appeared in various publications online. What interests her in the field of photo-art is the unpredictable and synergistic nature of photography in general. Capturing an image that can be enhanced in different ways to bring about a visual dialogue between viewer and photograph is what drives her work.
