The Philandering Breeze

The tender green leaves quivered,
Flattered by the flirting breeze.
"Do not listen," said the maple,
"For he lies to all the trees;
He is just a vagrant rover,
Fickle as the honey bees,
Wandering from flower to flower,
Stealing nectar as they please."
