winter

summer sweat fills intercourse nights
mercury crazy
her body accepts moisture
falling off his
         forehead
         nose
         mouth
onto her already wet chest

sounds escaping open windows
in this july heat wave
his face clenches into madness
        as
single drops fall onto breasts that no longer love this man

when the city heats up in the summer
the guns fire more often

laying down beside her
she rises to shower
