LORETTE C. THIESSEN fears not what we worship

To the Unlikely Stories home pageInfused with a hearty sense of irony, the poetic tales of Lorette C. Thiessen never tell the whole story. Instead, she leaves us with images and emotions that seem like half-painted pictures, all the more powerful by their unwillingness to give everything away.

Lorette says, "I have a B.A. in journalism from Ryerson Polytechnic University. I have been a poet for as long as I can remember, but in the past few years I have decided I am also an artist. I have been creating collages and paintings with found objects and images. I work as a Tarot consultant in any spare time left over. I live with my three cats and my husband, Marko, in downtown Toronto. My hopes for the year include buying an iMac, creating my own web pages to display my art, and making a dent in my student loan payments." Drop her a line at raggedy78@hotmail.com.
