Goblin Shark

Below Bass Straight's thick blankets
Teddy bear urine and psycho

In depths black of sleep, 1200 m
I repress: small fins, huge pointed snout, tiny eyes

My mind obscures your origins
Learnt to swim, for the last time. Depth bubbled dream dive

Blankets over my head
Cold water - bottle lung, sleep -

Thoughts plankton remnants, float away for predation
Circling, scooped up by wide, crypt mouths

In a state of cataleptic derailment
My brain missed the train from Atlantis.

A floater, the term used in crime,
Dredged at dawn, in a net, discovery,

Wakes, shock, child, day.
