Anyone can become angry- that is easy, but to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way- that is not easy. —Aristotle

Zach Lost

Zach LostIn a time where Hip Hop has gone from innovative sub-cultural movement to mainstream trend/advertisement for negativity, it is refreshing to find an MC that can keep heads nodding and drop socially relevant lyrics at the same time. A visual artist who received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Mason Gross school of the arts at Rutgers University in 2003, Zach is a skilled and passionate performer in several genres, as well as an accomplished writer; as recognized by the Academy of American Poets in 2002 and 2003. He has won several slams and has been featured at venues from California to Paris. —DG

Toney Jackson -aka Zach Lost- first emerged from underneath the Underground scene as half of the Underground Hip Hop duo 'Thought Breakers' in 2002. With a split at the beginning of '05, Zach has begun to pursue his solo efforts as well as build/record/perform with many other artists, bands, emcees, and producers. As a member of Thought Breakers, Zach has rocked shows with and opened for artists/groups such as Fat Joe, Dead Prez, Mr. Cheeks, Wyclef, The Nappy Roots, Goldfinger, Finch and Guster, as well as undergound legends and artists such as Wordsworth, The Last Emperor, Pumpkinhead, Pack FM, Tonedef, Substantial, Cymarshall Law, Unstoppable Unity, The Formulis, and others.

Currently Zach is digging back into the underground, most recently working with underground powerhouse 'Manifest Destiny' out of New Jersey. With beats provided by ‘Thought Breakers’ beat maker DJ Stealth as well as Lectron80 and Fraze of Organic Thoughts, Zach is getting set to drop his own release in early 2006. Zach’s song ‘You Know it’s Wrong’ produced by Nate Greenberg (-aka- DJ Stealth) has been selected for use on the hit television show ‘C.S.I. Miami’. He visited Europe in early 2005 where he performed in London and performed and recorded in Paris. Most recently he was chosen to perform at the ‘Vans Warped Tour 2005’. Always looking to move forward and contribute to the progression of culture, Zach is set to rock any stage, mic or cypher in the vicinity.
