The New York City band Trousers has recently gone on temporary hiatus, but not before producing their incredible new album, We Pitched a Hut and Called it Providence. Two of their eleven tracks are original, bleak-poppy instrumentals, but the album nonetheless proves that fast-paced, musically inspiring rock and roll can, in fact, be combined with beautiful and poetic lyrics. With lines penned by old-school Unlikely Stories poet Josph O'Leary and music written by the group, this band has all the angst and turmoil you look for in a contemporary band.
