Lord Jesus and the Housebreakers

Lord Jesus was out walking his pit bull,
walking our hood streets late last Thursday night.
Jesus saw a kid standing on a stool,
part of a gang that didn't want the light.

Lord Jesus asked the boys "what's going down?"
They smiled at him with faces acne free,
boys eleven to fourteen from our town,
were breaking in to steal they said with glee.

Lord Jesus says, "let me give you a hand,
the dog, he'll keep a watch out for the cops."
The kids say "thanks, you want to join our band,
we could use you, your thieving skills are tops."

Lord Jesus, he joined the unruly mob,
the rich and greedy he set out to rob.
