Least Favorite Flavor

II.

I become
Plastic-shiny
Melty
Food-dye blue-green
Bubblegum ice cream

I try
To melt
The shards of ice
I feel for her

At my core
Is a cluster
A clump
Of stale
Hardened
Powdery
Bitter
Gumballs

And I wonder
Will she lick gently
And only taste them
Just enough
To realize
They must be dealt with

Or, with an enamel hard, sharp
Bite
And subsequent incessant chewing
Will she squish and soak
Their disgusting flavor
Into her taste
Buds?
