God and I sat down for poker and chess
He is a better strategist than I
But I have the stonier face.

I came to the conclusion
That he had a set of dice
And he'd been toying with the pieces from the get-go.
He moved his pawns at random
But he made up all the rules
Leaving no one in a position
To question what he considered
Victory.

Then he asked:
When you lose at cards
Do you have the balls to pay?
Or do you see it as an issue you can
Negotiate?
Do you look to borrow money?
Do you appeal to the house?
Or are all the chambers empty in the first place?
