The Awaiting Spring

A pretty girl--
Soft eyed, red-haired
Orbs of pale blues peer
at lucid lights.
The other girls--
Are freezing in the cold.
Yet, she is warmly waiting
For Spring.  

A handsome woman--
Wild eyed, fading red hair
She reads her novels with
eyes of wisdom.
The other girls--
Are sweating from summer's fire.
Yet, she is still awaiting
Spring.

A wise crown--
Tired, gray-haired.
She sees the world 
Through a rocking chair,
The other girls--
Are frozen from winter.
Yet, she feels the approach 
Of Spring.
