writings and artwork by NRM

these eyes with
shadows tingling up one's spine
anticpation lingers in jolted weary bones
for this was eternity, this was an apple a day
when all the years floated around different riffs
the manic ferris wheel
with the exit signs bolted, locked, burning,
scratching nails along awaited eyes
for just seconds
with out our curious mouth's
the cat stops biting when daddy needs to think
when bones are electric,
when shadows have a face,
whiskers become badgered in the silent astuteness
this was what
shaking hands with empty stomach
aching mind's quivering vertebrae
almost soft
like decaying flesh
in sunny watered minute smiles
to load rifles at midnight
