writings and artwork by NRM

the iridescent
sunlight was
strong enough
to make
me lift
my head
out of
the cracked
piano
found myself
sitting in-
the middle
of nagging
empty motorists
driving no
where on
a pill
jar week
work- fades
like farts
in bookshops.
body worn
back to nada thrills.
hitting warped keys-
can yodel
in my glass
treats to be
opened slowly
soaking green
bean breakfast
colorful liver
shaky protein
shake malt
muzzle.
the lips attach
to cranium umbilical chords
through muddy hail storms,
mozart's head
pops out of the
cornfield
grave yard,
smoke from nostrils,
green goobers spit
from ear muffles.
a violin filled
with whiskey
ached morning
night scratches.
toasters plug
fork pokes
crisp black bread
electricity
jolted flesh wire
raining hail
piano man
pushes
fingers in
soggy breaded
stomach churn
