[Hummingbirds emanate from a mirage's radiant haze now]

Hummingbirds emanate from a mirage's radiant haze now.
Tornadoes vanish on the glowing horizon comets graze now.

Wavering candlelight traces a defaced mural of Buddha
In the monastery ruins where a bodhisattva prays now.

The sky is echoing thunderclaps of chariot cavalries
As a coastal zephyr whispers of Spartan forays now.

Dust glints in pollen clouds floating above fields of white maize
Where ghosts shimmer in the light of sparks a fire sprays now.

Meteors sketch blue arcs above the iced Himalayas,
Sprouting flames with the luster of an auroral blaze now.

Parvati baths in a moonlit basin adorned with gems,
Lotus blossoms pulse in the light of her diamond's rays now.

A phoenix's shadow blazes through the billowing sails
Of caravels that are anchored in Avalon's bays now.

Orpheus is seized in a rushing tunnel of twilight,
Vanishes in tears that stream through Eurydice's gaze now.
