jUStin!katKO fuses poetry and music in his spoken word-rap-rhythm and blues-political social commentary Pixel Cloak. He is a prolific artist whose sense of moral and ethical differentiation embeds itself in all of his work; music and otherwise. He speaks and sings thinking pieces, feeling pieces that are meant to be listened to with a discerning ear and mind and heart. His pieces are powerful; it is my experience of them that I always come away with a sense of something Real in the world. Albeit disturbing, something strangely comforting. Justin as an artist and purveyor of pensive and angry social commentary is a force to be reckoned with.
This month, we would like to present three tracks from Justin’s CD Pixel Cloak. "How Not Even Several Dollars Worth of Night Vision Will Get You Through The Day," is a somewhat disturbing piece which rings of the futility of war, "Balance isn’t everything” a song that points out the idiocy of modern culture in the face of global reality and “Shit Ourselves in Commemoration," a disturbingly beautiful spoken word piece which literally echoes of social tribulation.
