Since graduating from the Canberra School of Art Bachelor of Art (Visual) where he studied under printmaker Petr Herel, Stephen Harrison has held 18 solo exhibitions and about 25 group exhibitions worldwide. Some shows have been 'Screaming Red Dingo', 'Blood on the Wings', 'Angels and Aeroplanes', 'Nights of Wine and Steel', and 'Mr Kafka's Core'.

His most recent exhibition, 'Shakespeare's Girls, The Blood Babies and The Gnarled Blackened Castles of the Golden City of Prague', was a culmination of three years' work and a trip to Prague during 2002.

Stephen has two sons and lives and works in Canberra, Australia.
