Previous Pistachia, Waiting for Guillume Next

Pistachia the Parisian squirrel waits and watches for her mate, Guillume, to return to their tree (with more nuts for the winter.)

Does she not notice him approaching from the other direction, or is she merely imagining he might be approaching from whatever direction she's not looking in?

As to her being ill-dressed for the winter weather - when I initially drew her, I didn't know how wintry I was going to wind up making the backdrop, so I thought maybe she heard Guillume coming and popped out to look for him. I tried drawing her a coat, but it just didn't look right, and plus, she's got a natural coat, anyway.
