Three Poems by Michael Mc Aloran

#16...

...nothing's exclamations/ vapours to meld till unbecoming silhouettes/ else climbs to the sparkle/ the top of the sky/ beneath which the earth and I/ the dead stun of sudden rooted to the spot by the weight of breath/ cancelled out/ broke shattered/ bones-rind to collect in the midst of the fall(en)/ iced laughter of which there is in the midst of none/ tasteless pageant/ rock-a-bye/ I cannot/ never could nor will/ the fingers dissipate as the black blood coagulates in the midst of the sun's lightless excavation/ rots without ever having been/ in the midst of the exist yes or no have you/ vapours to taste/ a skinned sense/ raw unto the nothing which is ever is/ in the midst of/ never fading as if to get it over with were not enough/ spliced/ breathless till held above or not not ever/ in celebrant of vortices/ blank space/ time obliterated in an instant/ the knee-jerk of else yet scatters the bones of none's passage unto/ a consolation of/ no consequence/...

#17...

...blind forage of the else in a gift of poisoned light/ given from the unto spasm none/ shine a light/ the cleft tongue and the force of gestural/ all placement of/ desire for/ knocked upon from prism light the skulking in the shadow's edge/ of/ in the asking of for all tomorrow's parties/ in the asking of the self to unbecome/ unrooted in the non-snare of/ the nothing of that is no snare +1/ no none +1/ dragging the unrepentant into the light what light/ spurious as the absenteeism of/ in the collapse of else what matter/ no tears for it/ only the grief of having yet again found folly once again in the banality of hope/ the else that betrays the transient ground of purity/ iced purpose/ trace traces of tomorrows/ emblems/ shadowy lack/ cataract of/ bloodless appeal/ the step and the back-step of it/ stasis/ the illusory gain of ground within the circumference of naught/ the blind pulse and the forage of it/ no skies for the love of tomorrow/ the breath kicked in by hobnail/ scattered ash upon reckless absences/ and waste ground...

#18...

...and so/ as if to close the eye what final/ eye upon the/ eye of which/ in the itch of the redeem/ the serrated edge of some knee-jerk faculty/ dusted the eyes close what final or/ of/ where/ absence of sound or voice/ bones stitched together to form the skeletal essence of else/ songs for tomorrow/ blind-sighted/ a desire for.../ the desire for/ the deflect of self-reflected/ asunder wrenched/ the pulse meat bulb beating whether or not/ fades without a whimper/ prayers from the none given up as else/ voidal currency of blight/ to the point of which/ the zero point of all/ masked semblances/ the curdle of the eye/ and all the vapours of which in-between/ collectively the exigency for the one or the other/ the negation of or the yes unto/ what words to claim the speech of none or of/ else shines out from the rotten teeth of things that will never come to fruition/ as none strokes with a familiar hand/ the skin pared away revealing the flesh of the matter/ the nothing of the matter/ the stamp irreducible...
