Three Poems by Billy Cancel

would you wallow in the syrup gash?     is the point of this
not "guess what breaks purple    at Hotel Violate"     i saw something
crooked     but thought, is evidence of take     off landing quite
believable?         safe from headshrinkers     engulfed in
living greenery     kept
considering abbreviations of post-
industrial dosshouse decadence     flanked
by meadows wooded groves
may achieve memories
of poisonous smog toxic wastes through
application of dung then     hook
some bristle
         regeneration locus North-
West Quadrant construction site floats up
through late spring summer     full
merge     exchange
decode     forward but
piglets keep
shifting the stones
all about at
night

could be the missing jigsaw in the piece
where are you going bleeding     pin cushion
plugged in     that way?
is it sufficiently important raven cruel?
no user, user direct connectivity hazy
fuzz yellow fuzzy dot  kept
all integral slosh slosh
sloshing     sweet golden wildflowers purple
roadflux others     out of bounds, son: doubtless
marked off asphalt cycle is plenty neglected
not swift vs. gold smiths
you surreptitiously pushed
the leaver then     regretted?
belied the defect     still
felt lousy when i left stained
glass     saw a headless skeleton desecrating the garden below fact
clean birds by seven     unclean by two     dive in;
heaven is the one place i will trace
that requires lakeside transfer     sluggishly paced sky holding
this tantalizing dirge score

interrupted harshline was totally what i needed
effectively dynamited     Indignation Tangle     kept ringing
churchbells to maintain firewalls     it is surreal
important to     relive these events now compress
forward through     grass fields open woods
all frozen never fresh come
closer milk     confrontation
chopping gesture in regards to this
non-plot     do not arc into bitterness do
you want to save changes
     or sit out the region?
radial sly jet has
promised me unpeopled
landscapes of dark
valleys starlit peaks
meteor interpretation
transmitted phrase full moon caught in light box
beauty party chit-chat throughout times
of fire while
i was shovelling raw blocks down
 some convex hull
