When all of your advisors heave their plastic at your feet to convince you of your pain trying to prove that your conclusions should be more drastic —Bob Dylan

from betwixt: a love poem to mixed
by j/j hastain

learns to musically score
then adorn
what was ever otherwise
a hurting

yes
these tomes have always been
for storing
sexual and spiritual
anarchies

chimes                  chimeras

finding ways to fuck

the human heart

as a literal
ephemeral

as an elemental

like extracting thaumaturgies
from every fallen
bee

like smashed eggs
are also
a meat
to be served
on primal
palettes

or as core
platelets

a prothalamion to the beloved
a spewing valance

oh the supple impermanences
of fruit

like sympoietic

or emancipation
by way of heuristic lipids
but so
venerate-ly

at multi-location

oh darling

as two quarks separate
the gluon turf
morphs slowly
into
cylinders
strands between
and the color force experienced by quarks
is a differentiation
that holds
them together

that they can not help
but remain
constant in their fusion
regardless of their distance from each other

in the dream
you were dropping grapes
from your mouth to mine
as a new way
to grope

we

this

an essentiality
always coming
true

but by asymptote
rather than by history or script

naming
is an act of puja

a flickering
funnel
solidifying
only ever by way of
ulterior amens

gory juxtapositions
which increase
glottal

for the cosmic maw to come
to know itself
by way of vigorous non-narrative
confessions
